Mountainland Apples is a 15,000 sq.ft. controlled atmosphere and cold storage building. This building was designed and built by Fincon General Contractors. Fincon self-performed the excavation, tilt-up concrete, building concrete, site concrete, and other trades.

The Mountainland Apples building is used to store apples year-round. In order to preserve the apples, most of the oxygen in the air must be removed from the interior space. Therefore, the building must be constructed air tight. The controlled atmosphere is created in the building by using insulated tilt-up concrete sandwich panels, panel lining, and mechanical equipment.
